The spokeshave is nowadays not a very well known tool and it is rarely used, which is quite a pity. It is sort of a small drawknife with a possibility to set precisely the depth of the cut. It is still used for traditional bow-making.

This new innovative design makes use of both wooden and metal spokeshaves. The blade is fixed at a very low angle, which has got a positive impact on the cutting properties. Completely new is the way of setting the depth of the cut by shifting the metal sole. There is no need for turning the tool up side down for cutting depth adjustment, it can be easily done by turning the knob right at work. Moreover the depth of the cut is clearly visible on the protrusion of the sole.

This new design has got several interchangeable soles and blades and therefore it is no problem to create quickly concave, convex and other types of spokeshaves.
